3 Things to Remember on Veterans Day that you may have Forgotten

Did you know that November 11 is Veterans Day? And did you know that it is observed around the world as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day?

So here's 3 Things to Remember that you may have forgotten about Veterans Day.

1. It's more than a federal holiday, it's a historical event. It marks the celebration of the end of World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day on the 11th month of 1918. Originally observed as Armistice Day, until it was called Veterans Day in 1954.

2. It's a commemoration of World Peace. It marks the end of the Great War, the war of all wars. The most brutal and horrifying war that happened in history. Never to happen...again?

3. Veterans Day is different from Memorial Day. Remembering the military personnel who died in the service, particularly those who died in battle are honored on Memorial Day.

While those who died are remembered on Veterans Day, it is intended to honor and thank all those who served in the military during wartime and peacetime, most especially the living veterans
Thank you for your service...
